SDB vitrinebouw Van de Kamp

Case study SDB Vitrinebouw

Ask people around you what the term "komt goed" means, and you'll likely hear that things will probably turn out fine, luck might play a role, or that it’s not that big of a deal. "But not at Van de Kamp," says Colinde van de Vliet, co-owner and responsible for logistics at SDB Vitrinebouw in Rosmalen. Colinde continues, "Sometimes we request last-minute changes to delivery times or locations, and I’ve never experienced a time when Van de Kamp’s planners and drivers didn’t make it happen."

The case in detail

Just last week... we had a last-minute change in the delivery address, moving from one city to another in Germany. "Okay, comes right up," was the response from Paul, the planner at Van de Kamp. And sure enough, it was perfectly arranged, and on time. No ifs or buts! And we get straight through to each other when we need to talk. That's pretty unique in the transport world.

"We've been working together for about 30 years now. Our display cases are fragile products with many thin profiles and lots of glass. The drivers at Van de Kamp know exactly how to handle them. They pick up our display cases once or twice a week from Rosmalen and deliver them to our customers the following week. This saves us space, which we can put to good use for production, and at Van de Kamp, everything is stored safely. Their drivers know our customers, are friendly, punctual, and speak their languages," says Colinde.

Damage-free deliveries

Co-owner Eric van de Vliet adds, "For us, it's incredibly important that our display cases are delivered to our customers in perfect condition. We sell and deliver in the Benelux, Germany, France, Denmark, Sweden, and England, among others.

We hand over our beautiful display cases to the Van de Kamp drivers without hesitation and with pleasure. The craftsmanship of their drivers guarantees damage-free deliveries, and we are extremely happy with that. They don’t know the word 'no' in Druten, and they simply deliver on their promises. Our customers are very satisfied with this. In that sense, their drivers are an extension of our craftsmanship and are the business card that our customers see. We sometimes catch ourselves using the term 'komt goed' when we talk about Van de Kamp.

Everyone knows that things will work out with those men and women from Druten."
